Southworth East Asia & Central Pacific

This is an updated page for John Southworth that revises and improves that which is found here. Viewers during and after the event are encouraged to visit this page; however do to the press of time and John Southworth’s departure from Hawaii to Okinawa (today), we feel “safer” posting this as an update, while keeping that previously prepared for this very, very hard working professional.
John Southworth has coordinated the Central Pacific Global Learn Day portion for several years…often bringing in remote participants from various international locations.
During GLD X he is physically in Okinawa attending the Phi Delta Kappa Pacific Leadership Conference, where he will moderate the East Asia region from there as well as coming up for the Central Pacific keynote and moderate others in this session.
This photo of the Hawaii RPCVHI is of those who helped with “Bring The World Back Home” video interviews done for Olelo Publicvision
John has prepared a 9 minute recorded Power Point presentation which one can download from here.
The title of this presentation is “New Opportunities for Classroom Technology Integration through Distance Learning - Enrichment Electronic Field Trips” that
This gives both historical as well as conceptual explanations of work in DL-E in the Central Pacific and globally in nearly the last 4 decades.

Aloha and congratulations to John Hibbs and his “crew” that makes this unique, international, and global involvement. As it ends I’ll probably be involved with our PDK Pacific Leadership Conference in Okinawa (See South Asia session) so hope Bruce Best DOES show up to hold up a long-time GLD tradition.
