Naturally, we are pleased and proud to feature a dozen or more luminaries as we make our way around the world. These men and women will be enormously helpful to increase our broadcasting reach; and that, we say, will help us meet the goal of the event: To increase access to affordable education worldwide. Having said that, if I were to make a small wager at this instant in time for which speaker — or speakers — would have the most impact, my wager would be on two women who hail from the Middle East.

It is not for nothing that my introductory remarks make mention of “The Thrilla In Manila” and the lessons learned from its chief promoter, Don King. Just as Mohammed Ali and Joe Frazier were the greatest of all heavyweights, I think it is fair to say that Vint Cerf and Sir John Daniels are heavyweights of equal stature in their own realm — one inside the world of education; the other inside the world of technology.
